Alternatively, redirecting these resources to areas such as education and healthcare could potentially result in better living conditions for the general public. Furthermore, many sports facilities constructed specifically for these events are often left unused after the competition, leading to a significant waste of resources, especially in regions with lower environmental and social standards.

In conclusion, while hosting international sporting events can bring economic and cultural benefits, I believe that careful consideration must be given to a country's specific circumstances, particularly those that are less developed. It is essential to prioritize the welfare of citizens, and any decision to host these events should be made accordingly. Moreover, measures should be taken to ensure that the benefits of these events are sustainable and long-lasting, while minimizing the negative impact on society and the environment.
