1. Phân tích đề bài: 

• Loại biểu đồ: Map - Biến đổi qua thời gian
• Dữ liệu: Sự biến đổi qua thời gian của Bridgetown
• Lưu ý: 
  Đường chạy chéo và con sông đã chia thị trấn ra thành bốn khu vực khác nhau, tương ứng với bốn phương hướng chính. Đây là một điều tương đối tiện nên được tận dụng khi phân chia thông tin trong quá trình làm bài.
  Việc biến đổi này diễn ra hoàn toàn trong quá khứ - chỉ nên sử dụng thì quá khứ - quá khứ hoàn thành.

• Overview: 
  Divided into four different sections (N-E-W-S) with similar size by the river (northeast-southwest) and the road. (southeast-northwest) 
  The bridge - the intersection point of river and the road.
• Body 1: North and East
  North: 
  Market place (the right side) and Wood (to its left) -> remained unchanged in sizes.
  2000: separated by a newly constructed railway (parallel to the main road). 
  Castle close to river: reconstructed into a school. 
  East: Farmland no changes -> segmented by the rail way. 
• Body 2: West and South
  Nothing in the former, latter similar farmland to the East. 
  2000: Curved bypass constructed -> provide alternative paths across river. => cut through both sections and create buildup areas.
  => Farm in the South -> shrink to accommodate.

The diagram illustrates the transformations that Bridgetown had gone through between 1700 and 2000.

Overall, one of the notable details that can be observed from the map is that the town was divided into four different but similar-sized areas according to four cardinal directions: North, South, East and West. This division was caused by a main road which ran diagonally in the southeast - northwest direction, and a river following the northeast-southwest course. They are intersected at a bridge situated in the middle of the former.

Regarding the North, it is immediately noticeable that the marketplace on the right side, as well as the wood to its left, had remained virtually unchanged in terms of sizes throughout the period. However, by 2000, they had been separated by a newly constructed railway, which ran in parallel to the main road. Meanwhile, the castle situated close to the river had been reconstructed into a school. Turning to the East, it seems like the farmland in this section underwent no significant changes, but had been segmented by the previously mentioned railway.

With regard to the West and the South, there used to be nothing in the former , while the latter had farmland similar to the one in the East. By 2000, a curved bypass, running from one point of the road to another, had been constructed, providing an alternative path across the river. This bypass cut through both sections and created buildup areas, which were right next to the river. As a result, the aforementioned farm in the South had to shrink to accommodate this.
