The expansion of multinational companies and increase in globalization produce positive effects for everyone. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Opinions are divided on whether or not the expansion of international corporations and an increase in globalization bring benefits to everyone. I believe that although there may be some drawbacks, this global phenomenon has many benefits.
Admittedly, globalization and international companies might have certain challenges. Among the challenges that societies might have to face, the most significant one would be the loss of cultural identity, which is the result of cultural assimilation. This is mainly because the success of certain cultures throughout the world might cause other countries to emulate them. Another drawback is that global companies might face marketing obstacles when entering a foreign market, in which, if they do not have proper knowledge of the native culture or customers' insights, they might end up being boycotted and losing potential customers. This is evidenced by the fact that when Dolce and Gabbana made an advertising campaign, focusing on a video mocking the eating habits of Asians, anger spread across online social platforms, saying that the brand was humiliating Chinese people. As a consequence, Dolce and Gabbana almost lost its market share in Asian countries due to the boycott.
Beyond the aforementioned drawbacks, there are several advantages of globalization and global companies. The most obvious one could be seen in the increase in job opportunities in developing countries. This is evidenced by the fact that Samsung, a renowned Korean technology corporation, has created a large number of jobs for Vietnamese since 2018, by cooperating with the local government to successfully tackle the high unemployment rate in Vietnam. In addition, the primary reason why the majority of global companies choose to build manufacturing factories in developing countries is that the cost of labor in these countries is much lower than that in developed countries. As a result, global corporations can make more profit by decreasing the cost of production.
In conclusion, globalization and the expansion of multinational companies may cause harm to society and to the companies themselves; however, it also provides far more advantages to the countries and corporations.
