One place with beautiful trees that I would love to visit is Ba Vi National Park, which is located about 60 kilometers from Hanoi. This park is famous for its lush greenery, cool climate, and stunning mountain views.

I first heard about this place from a travel blog, and later, some of my friends visited it and shared amazing photos. They told me that the park has ancient pine forests, diverse wildlife, and peaceful streams, making it a perfect escape from the busy city life.

Ba Vi National Park is covered with tall trees, colorful flowers, and fresh air, which create a refreshing atmosphere. There are also hidden temples and scenic trails, ideal for hiking and exploring nature.

I want to visit this place because I love being surrounded by nature. It would be a great opportunity to relax, take photos, and enjoy the fresh air. Also, I believe that spending time in a green environment helps reduce stress and improves overall well-being.

    4. Sample Answer 2

A place with trees that I would love to visit is Dalat’s Pine Forests, which are located in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Dalat is known as the “City of Eternal Spring” because of its cool weather and breathtaking landscapes.

I have known about this place since I was a child because Dalat is a popular tourist destination. However, I have never had a chance to explore its magnificent pine forests in person.

These forests are full of tall, evergreen pine trees that stretch as far as the eye can see. The air is always fresh and crisp, and in the early morning, mist covers the landscape, creating a dreamy atmosphere. There are also beautiful lakes and winding roads, making it a great place for sightseeing and photography.

I would love to visit Dalat’s Pine Forests because I enjoy peaceful and quiet places. Walking through the towering trees and breathing in the fresh air would be an unforgettable experience. Additionally, I have heard that camping in these forests at night is an amazing experience, and I would love to try it one day.

    5. Sample Answer 3

I’d like to talk about Ecopark, a quiet residential area with lots of greenery, located on the outskirts of Hanoi. It’s not as famous as places like Ba Vi National Park, but it has a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of trees, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.

I first heard about Ecopark from a friend who moved there a few years ago. He told me that the area was designed to be a "green city", with tree-lined streets, parks, and lakes. Unlike the crowded and noisy streets of Hanoi, Ecopark offers a calm and refreshing environment, which is why many people choose to live there.

One thing that makes Ecopark special is its huge parks and walking paths. There’s a park called Spring Park, where families often have picnics under the shade of tall trees. Another place I’d love to visit is Cultural Park, which has beautiful flower gardens and a large lake surrounded by willow trees. It seems like the perfect place to sit and read a book or just enjoy the fresh air.

I’d like to visit Ecopark because I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the noise and traffic in Hanoi. Spending time in a place with lots of trees would help me clear my mind and recharge. I also think it would be nice to take a walk along the tree-lined paths, breathe in the fresh air, and just enjoy the simple beauty of nature.

    IELTS Speaking part 3

    1. Why do people like visiting places with trees or forests?

    Sample Answer 1:
As far as I can tell, people enjoy visiting forests or green spaces because they provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Being surrounded by nature helps people unwind, breathe in fresh air, and recharge mentally. Plus, for outdoor enthusiasts, forests offer plenty of recreational activities like hiking and camping.

    Sample Answer 2:
The way I see it, nature has a unique ability to reduce stress and boost well-being. Nowadays, people are constantly bombarded with digital distractions and urban noise, so being in a natural environment helps them feel more grounded and refreshed. Besides, forests are often home to fascinating wildlife, which can be exciting for visitors who love animals and biodiversity.

    Useful Vocabulary:

    • peaceful escape /ˈpiːsfəl ɪˈskeɪp/: nơi chốn yên bình
    • unwind /ʌnˈwaɪnd/: thư giãn
    • reduce stress and boost well-being /rɪˈduːs strɛs ænd buːst ˈwɛlˌbiːɪŋ/: giảm căng thẳng và tăng cường sức khỏe
    • more grounded and refreshed /mɔːr ˈɡraʊndɪd ænd rɪˈfrɛʃt/: cảm thấy thư thái và tỉnh táo hơn
    • biodiversity /ˌbaɪoʊdaɪˈvɜːrsɪti/: đa dạng sinh học

    2. What can governments do to protect natural areas?

    Sample Answer 1:
My take on this is that governments should focus on strict regulations to prevent deforestation and pollution. Establishing protected areas, imposing fines on illegal logging, and promoting eco-friendly policies can make a huge difference. Besides, raising public awareness through education and media campaigns would encourage people to take better care of nature.

    Sample Answer 2:
As far as I’m concerned, one of the most effective solutions is to invest in sustainable tourism. Instead of allowing unrestricted access, governments should regulate visitor numbers and enforce responsible tourism practices. Also, allocating more funding for conservation projects would help restore damaged ecosystems and ensure the long-term survival of forests.

    Useful Vocabulary:

    • strict regulations /strɪkt ˌrɛɡjʊˈleɪʃənz/: quy định nghiêm ngặt
    • illegal logging /ɪˈliːɡəl ˈlɒɡɪŋ/: khai thác gỗ trái phép
    • sustainable tourism /səˈsteɪnəbl ˈtʊərɪzəm/: du lịch bền vững
    • responsible tourism practices /rɪˈspɒnsəbl ˈtʊərɪzəm ˈpræktɪsɪz/: thực hành du lịch có trách nhiệm
    • restore damaged ecosystems /rɪˈstɔːr ˈdæmɪdʒd ˈiːkoʊsɪstəmz/: khôi phục hệ sinh thái bị tổn hại

    3. Do you think natural places are more appealing to older people or younger people? Why?

    Sample Answer 1:
What I reckon is that older people generally find nature more appealing because they prefer a slower pace of life. Many retirees enjoy peaceful walks in the park, gardening, or simply relaxing in natural surroundings. However, younger people might be more drawn to adventurous outdoor activities like hiking, rock climbing, or kayaking.

    Sample Answer 2:
To my way of thinking, both age groups appreciate nature, but for different reasons. Young people might see natural places as exciting destinations for exploration and adventure, while older individuals tend to view them as places for peace and reflection. It really depends on personal preference rather than age alone.

    Useful Vocabulary:

    • a slower pace of life /ə ˈsloʊər peɪs əv laɪf/: nhịp sống chậm hơn
    • adventurous outdoor activities /ədˈvɛntʃərəs ˈaʊtdɔːr ækˈtɪvɪtiz/: các hoạt động ngoài trời mạo hiểm
    • exciting destinations /ɪkˈsaɪtɪŋ ˌdɛstɪˈneɪʃənz/: điểm đến thú vị
    • peace and reflection /piːs ænd rɪˈflɛkʃən/: sự yên bình và chiêm nghiệm

    4. What kinds of trees do people in Vietnam often plant?

    Sample Answer 1:
As far as I can see, fruit trees are quite popular in Vietnam, especially mango, coconut, and banana trees. These trees not only provide shade but also offer fresh, homegrown fruits. Additionally, people plant ornamental trees like peach blossoms or apricot trees, particularly during the Lunar New Year.

    Sample Answer 2:
My take on this is that Vietnamese people love planting multi-purpose trees. For example, bamboo is widely grown because it’s both decorative and useful in construction. Meanwhile, urban areas often have lots of street trees like flamboyant trees or almond trees to provide shade and improve air quality.

    Useful Vocabulary:

    • ornamental trees /ˌɔːrnəˈmɛntəl triːz/: cây cảnh
    • multi-purpose trees /ˈmʌltiˌpɜːrpəs triːz/: cây đa dụng
    • improve air quality /ɪmˈpruːv ɛr ˈkwɒlɪti/: cải thiện chất lượng không khí

    5. Which activities do people do that damage the environment?

    Sample Answer 1:
What I reckon is that littering and excessive plastic use are among the most harmful activities. Many people carelessly throw rubbish into rivers or streets, which leads to pollution. Similarly, using plastic bags and containers excessively contributes to waste buildup.

    Sample Answer 2:
The way I see it, industrial pollution is a major environmental threat. Factories release toxic chemicals into the air and water, harming both nature and human health. On top of that, deforestation for agriculture or urban development destroys natural habitats.

    Useful Vocabulary:

    • excessive plastic use /ɪkˈsɛsɪv ˈplæstɪk juːs/: sử dụng nhựa quá mức
    • waste buildup /weɪst ˈbɪldʌp/: tích tụ rác thải
    • toxic chemicals /ˈtɒksɪk ˈkɛmɪkəlz/: hóa chất độc hại
    • natural habitats /ˈnætʃrəl ˈhæbɪtæts/: môi trường sống tự nhiên

    6. Is it important to teach students to preserve the environment?

    Sample Answer 1:
To my way of thinking, educating students about environmental protection is crucial. If young people understand the impact of their actions, they will develop sustainable habits that benefit the planet in the long run. Schools should integrate environmental topics into the curriculum to raise awareness.

    Sample Answer 2:
As far as I’m concerned, the younger generation plays a key role in protecting the environment, so it’s essential to teach them about it early on. Hands-on activities like tree planting and recycling programs can make learning about sustainability more engaging.

    Useful Vocabulary:

    • crucial /ˈkruːʃl/: cực kỳ quan trọng
    • sustainable habits /səˈsteɪnəbl ˈhæbɪts/: thói quen bền vững
    • hands-on activities /ˈhændz ɒn ækˈtɪvɪtiz/: hoạt động thực hành
