Describe an important achievement you have made
You should say:
One important achievement that I have made is winning first place in a national English debate competition. This event took place last year when I was in my final year of high school in Hanoi. The competition was held at a prestigious university in Ho Chi Minh City, and it brought together the best debaters from all over Vietnam.
This achievement is particularly significant to me for several reasons. Firstly, it was a culmination of years of hard work and dedication. I have always been passionate about debating and public speaking, and winning this competition was a validation of my efforts. Secondly, it boosted my confidence tremendously. Standing in front of a large audience and presenting my arguments effectively was a huge challenge, but succeeding in this environment made me realize that I could overcome my fears and perform well under pressure.
I earned this achievement through a combination of rigorous preparation and teamwork. My debate team and I spent countless hours researching various topics, practicing our speeches, and refining our arguments. We also participated in several smaller competitions to gain experience and receive feedback. Moreover, I worked on improving my English skills, focusing on expanding my vocabulary and perfecting my pronunciation, which were crucial for delivering persuasive arguments.
Another key factor was the support I received from my teachers and mentors. They provided valuable guidance and constructive criticism, helping me to refine my debating techniques. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child," and in my case, it took a community to shape a successful debater. Their encouragement and belief in my abilities played a significant role in my success. This achievement has not only boosted my self-confidence but also motivated me to pursue further challenges and continue improving my skills. I believe that with determination and perseverance, I can achieve even greater things in the future.

One important achievement I'm really proud of is becoming a Math excellent student last year. This happened at my high school, Nguyen Hue high school.
This is an important achievement for me for two reasons. Firstly, I've always loved Math and see it as a fun mind game. Being good at Math helps me solve logical problems and calculate faster. Secondly, becoming an excellent student is a recognition of my learning efforts throughout the year. It motivates me to continue striving in the future.
To achieve this, I had to work very hard. First, I attended all my classes and focused on listening to the teachers' lectures. Then, I diligently completed my homework, especially the challenging problems. I also often looked for additional resources and advanced books to practice more.
Besides that, I joined the Math club at school. There, I discussed knowledge with other passionate students and learned different problem-solving approaches from seniors. The club teacher also guided me very enthusiastically, helping me solve any doubts I had during my studies.
Thanks to my diligence, perseverance, and eagerness to learn, I finally achieved the title of Math excellent student. This is an important stepping stone on my learning journey.
One important achievement I'm really proud of is successfully launching my own photography business last year. It was a big step for me, happening right here in Bac Ninh city.
This achievement is important for a few reasons. Firstly, photography has always been a huge passion of mine. Turning it into a business allowed me to pursue my passion full-time and express myself creatively through my work. Secondly, starting my own business was a real challenge. It required a lot of independence and responsibility, which helped me grow personally and professionally.
Getting my business off the ground wasn't easy. It took a lot of hard work and dedication. First, I invested a significant amount of time in honing my photography skills. I took online courses, attended workshops, and practiced constantly to refine my technique. Then, I focused on building a strong portfolio showcasing my diverse work.
Next, I created a detailed business plan outlining my target audience, marketing strategy, and financial projections. This helped me secure a small business loan to cover initial costs for equipment and marketing materials.
Finally, I actively networked with local businesses and organizations to promote my services. Social media also played a crucial role in building my online presence and attracting potential clients. It wasn't an overnight success, but through perseverance and dedication, I was able to build a steady stream of clients and establish myself as a professional photographer.
In my opinion, people should set goals under any circumstances because goals provide direction and purpose. When individuals set clear objectives, they are more likely to stay focused and motivated, even in difficult times. From my experience, goals help in measuring progress and give a sense of accomplishment when achieved. They also encourage better time management and prioritization of tasks, which can lead to greater productivity and success.
Personally, I believe that people should not set goals under all circumstances because rigidly sticking to goals can sometimes be counterproductive. Life is unpredictable, and circumstances can change rapidly. Being too focused on a specific goal can lead to stress and frustration if things don't go as planned. Instead, I think it might be more beneficial to remain flexible and adaptable, allowing individuals to adjust their plans and take advantage of new opportunities as they arise.
I think employers should reward employees with money because financial incentives are a strong motivator. Monetary rewards can significantly boost job satisfaction and productivity. From my perspective, they help employees feel valued and appreciated for their hard work, which can increase loyalty and reduce turnover. Additionally, financial rewards can meet employees' personal needs and improve their overall quality of life.
In my opinion, employers should not only reward employees with money. While financial incentives are important, non-monetary rewards such as recognition, career development opportunities, and flexible working conditions can also be highly effective. Personally, I believe these types of rewards can foster a positive work environment, enhance job satisfaction, and build a sense of community and loyalty among employees. Over-reliance on monetary rewards might overshadow the importance of intrinsic motivation and job fulfillment.
Yes, I believe it is important for employees to keep fit at work because physical health is closely linked to mental well-being and productivity. Regular exercise can reduce stress, improve concentration, and boost energy levels, leading to better job performance. In my view, employers can support this by providing gym facilities, organizing fitness classes, or encouraging active breaks during the workday. A healthier workforce is likely to be more motivated, engaged, and efficient.
Personally, I don't think it is necessarily important for employees to keep fit at work. While staying fit is important, it should be a personal responsibility rather than a workplace obligation. Some employees might prefer to manage their fitness routines outside of work hours and might find enforced fitness programs intrusive. From my perspective, workplaces can support a healthy lifestyle by promoting work-life balance and providing flexible working hours, allowing employees to pursue fitness in their own time and way.
