One unusual building that I find fascinating is the Crazy House in Đà Lạt, Vietnam. Its official name is Hằng Nga Guesthouse, but most people call it the Crazy House because of its bizarre and imaginative design.
The building looks nothing like a typical house or hotel. Instead, it resembles a giant fairy-tale tree with twisting staircases, uneven walls, and strangely shaped windows. There are tunnels, bridges, and even rooms designed to look like caves or animals. The architecture is inspired by nature, and you can see elements like giant mushrooms, spiderwebs, and vines carved into the walls.
Originally, the Crazy House was designed as a guesthouse, so people can actually stay there overnight. However, it has also become a popular tourist attraction in Đà Lạt, with many visitors coming just to explore its unique interior and take photos.
What makes this building interesting to me is its creativity and uniqueness. It doesn’t follow any traditional architectural rules, yet it somehow feels like a magical wonderland. I also admire how the architect, Đặng Việt Nga, used her imagination to create something completely different from the typical houses we see every day. It’s not just a building—it’s an artistic experience.
An unusual building that I find really fascinating is the Lotus Building in Wujin, China. It is a stunning piece of architecture that looks like a giant blooming lotus flower floating on a lake.
The structure is covered in pink and white petals, and at night, it lights up beautifully, creating a magical effect. The building is surrounded by water, making it look even more surreal and elegant.
This unique building is actually a cultural and exhibition center, where various events, art exhibitions, and public activities take place. It was designed to represent purity and harmony, which are important values in Chinese culture.
I think this building is interesting because it blends nature and modern design perfectly. The way it mimics a real lotus flower makes it stand out, and it shows how architecture can be both functional and artistic. It’s a place that not only serves a purpose but also brings joy to people who visit and admire it.
One unusual building that I find interesting is 100 Roofs Café in Đà Lạt, Vietnam. It’s not as famous as some other landmarks, but it has a really unique design that makes it stand out.
At first glance, the building looks like a mix between a maze and a cave, with narrow corridors, hidden staircases, and walls covered in carvings of strange creatures and plants. Inside, there are multiple floors, and each section has a different theme, giving it a mysterious and adventurous feel. The place is dimly lit, and there are small corners where you can sit and enjoy a drink while feeling like you’re inside a fantasy world.
The main purpose of the building is to be a café and bar, but many visitors come not just for the drinks, but also to explore the maze-like structure. It’s almost like a mini adventure, where you can wander around and discover hidden spots.
What I find most fascinating about this building is its playful and creative design. Unlike ordinary cafés with a simple layout, this one makes you feel like you’re in a different world. It’s also a great example of how architecture can turn a simple café into a memorable and interactive experience.

Sample Answer 1:
As far as I can see, people enjoy visiting historical sites because they provide a tangible connection to the past. Walking through ancient ruins or well-preserved buildings allows visitors to immerse themselves in history and gain a deeper appreciation for how society has evolved. Additionally, many of these sites offer fascinating stories that help bring history to life in a way that textbooks simply can’t.
Sample Answer 2:
What I reckon is that historical sites attract visitors because they offer a sense of identity and cultural pride. Many people visit landmarks that are significant to their country’s history to feel connected to their roots. Besides, these places are often architectural masterpieces, making them appealing to those who admire art and design.

Sample Answer 1:
My take on this is that the interior of a building is far more important than its façade because people spend most of their time inside. A well-designed interior with ergonomic furniture and optimal lighting enhances comfort and functionality, making the space more pleasant to live or work in. Even if a building looks impressive from the outside, it’s meaningless if the interior is uncomfortable or impractical.
Sample Answer 2:
To my way of thinking, both aspects matter, but the exterior plays a crucial role in making a strong first impression. The design of a building can reflect its purpose and create a sense of prestige or grandeur. For instance, a museum or government building should have a majestic exterior to convey authority and historical significance. That being said, the interior should not be neglected, as it directly affects daily usability.

Sample Answer 1:
As far as I’m concerned, investing in a building’s exterior is worthwhile, especially for commercial properties. A visually appealing structure can attract customers and create a positive image for a business. For instance, high-end hotels and luxury retail stores rely heavily on their aesthetic appeal to draw in clients. However, excessive spending should be avoided, as functionality and sustainability are equally important.
Sample Answer 2:
The way I see it, spending too much on the exterior is not always a wise choice. While an attractive design may impress people initially, the structural quality and long-term durability of a building should take priority. Rather than focusing on expensive decorations, it’s better to invest in energy-efficient materials and smart technology that enhance both aesthetics and practicality.

Sample Answer 1:
As far as I can tell, modern high-rise buildings are becoming increasingly popular in Vietnam, especially in urban areas. With rapid urbanization, more people are living in apartment complexes that offer convenience and security. Additionally, mixed-use buildings that combine residential, commercial, and office spaces are on the rise, as they maximize land use efficiency.
Sample Answer 2:
My take on this is that traditional tube houses are still a dominant feature in Vietnam, particularly in older neighborhoods. These narrow but deep houses are designed to accommodate multiple generations and make the most of limited space. At the same time, eco-friendly buildings with green roofs and energy-saving features are gaining popularity due to rising environmental concerns.
