Đối với phần thi viết IELTS, việc có vốn từ vựng phong phú là điều bắt buộc để đạt band điểm cao. Chúng ta phải duy trì một sự cân bằng giữa việc sử dụng các từ vựng cao cấp và từ vựng thông thường. Sử dụng quá nhiều từ vựng cao cấp cũng có thể không gây ấn tượng cho giám khảo.
Do đó, ứng viên cần duy trì từ vựng ở mức trung bình. Thay vì sử dụng cùng 1 từ lặp đi lặp lại, bạn có thể sử dụng các từ đồng nghĩa ở các thời điểm khác nhau. Do đó, việc học synonyms rất hữu ích đối với các bạn chuẩn bị tham dự kì thi IELTS.
