Đề bài

The diagram below shows how one type of coal is used to produce electricity.

Producing electricity from coal

Với dạng đề Process trong IELTS Writing task 1, chúng ta có thể viết theo dàn ý sau:

- Paraphrasing the Question Sentence: Diễn đạt lại câu hỏi bằng 1 – 2 câu. Nếu không biết paraphrase như thế nào, các bạn có thể sử dụng cấu trúc: The chart/diagram (shows/describes/illustrates) how + clause
- Overview paragraph: Tổng quan trong 1 – 2 câu (mô tả chung nội dung biểu đồ mà không trình bày dữ liệu). Ở đây, các bạn có thể:

+ Chỉ ra có bao nhiêu giai đoạn trong quy trình

+ Giai đoạn nào là bắt đầu/ kết thúc hoặc bắt đầu, kết thúc như thế nào

Cấu trúc tham khảo: There are ….main stages (primary steps) in the process/in the process of producing…,beginning with…and ending with…

- Body 1:

Câu 1: điểm chính thứ nhất
Câu 2: điểm chính thứ hai
Câu 3: câu mở rộng 1 (so sánh / kết hợp các điểm chính đã nêu ở trên)
Câu 4: câu mở rộng 2 (mở rộng của câu trước đó, hoặc thêm vào một đặc điểm ngoại lệ)

- Body 2:

Câu 1: đặc điểm ngoại lệ
Câu 2: mở rộng đặc điểm ngoại lệ
Câu 3: câu kết thúc (tổng kết toàn bộ bài luận)

Ở Body 1 và Body 2, các bạn hãy miêu tả chi tiết từng bước của Process (Bạn cũng có thể viết thêm Body 3 nếu cần thiết). Có thể viết giai đoạn đầu đến giai đoạn giữa trong Body 1 và tiếp theo đến giai đoạn kết thúc trong Body 2 để miêu tả lại được toàn bộ quy trình. Lưu ý: khi viết dạng này, các bạn chỉ đơn thuần miêu tả lại các quy trình được nhìn thấy trong đề bài, không đưa ra suy đoán hay kết luận của bản thân. Nếu không có ghi chú về thời gian, các bạn hãy sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn nhé.

The diagram illustrates the various steps involved in the production of electricity from coal.

Overall, the procedure consists of six primary steps, beginning with the extraction of coal from a mine and culminating in the distribution of electricity to the grid.

The process initiates at a coal mine, where coal is extracted and then transported to a crusher to be pulverized into small pieces. Following this, the crushed coal is conveyed to gasifiers, where it undergoes heating to transform into gas, followed by a cooling phase. During this phase, the waste heat generated in the gasifier can be later extracted and managed.

Once gasified, the coal-derived gas is cleaned to remove impurities, rendering it suitable for efficient power generation. The purified gas is then directed into a gas power plant where it fuels turbines to produce electricity. Finally, this resulting electricity is distributed to the grid and for consumer use.
