Well, actually, I do. I mean I take handwritten notes almost every day whether it is my working notes or just something I need to jot down in my diary. Well, I know it's pretty old-school, but personally, I prefer using something paper-based than computer-based. And also, there is evidence to suggest that if you write things down then they’ll stick in your head longer because it really helps to boost your memorization and concentration when you write things down by your hand.
Hmm, it depends on whether I put any effort into my handwriting or not. But, generally speaking, my handwriting is pretty good-looking and readable because I would say that it’s all thanks to my parents. They helped me a lot when I was a kid to perfect my handwriting It’s a stereotype that they think a person’s handwriting can really represent his or her personality and who doesn’t want their child to be a nice person, right? However, if I’m in a rush, my hand writing can be really messy and illegible, especially whenener I am teaching, I usually use a marker on a white board which is pretty slippery. So I can’t write things neatly.
Nowadays, a lot of people are telling me that typing is becoming more popular and, surprisingly, I even find myself moving fingers on a keyboard more often when it comes to working or texting my friends. I would say that most of us are getting more used to typing writing things by hand because, of course, it is more accurate, convenient, and quicker. However, I would say that we should not totally abandon handwriting. I mean it has been a fundamental way of communication for thousands of years and the learning and mastering of handwriting is something that every learner should acquire to sharpen their language and academic ability. So, I would say that handwriting is still a very important part of our daily lives, there is no running away from that fact.
