You should say:
I’d like to talk about a classmate of mine who I believe is exceptionally talented. His name is Minh, and we’ve known each other since we were in primary school together. We’ve always been in the same classes, and we’ve grown up in the same neighborhood in Hanoi.
Minh is exceptionally talented in playing the piano. I first noticed his talent when we were in middle school. During a school event, he performed a piano piece by Beethoven, and his performance was truly mesmerizing. The way he played with such precision and emotion was incredible.
