Describe a place - not in your home - where you are able to relax
You should say:

One place that holds a special significance for me, particularly when I'm seeking relaxation amidst the stress of daily life, is a quaint little café called "Hiên" located near my home.
Situated away from the bustling main street, Hiên café is nestled quietly in a small alley, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The ambiance of this café is truly inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable seating that makes me feel like I've stepped into a refuge of tranquility.
I find myself gravitating towards Hiên café approximately once every 1-2 weeks, especially when I yearn for a space of my own. The café offers a perfect blend of solitude and community, allowing me to immerse myself in a peaceful environment without feeling isolated. The staff is welcoming, and the low hum of conversations adds to the overall sense of relaxation.
What I appreciate most about this café is its ability to provide a sanctuary for personal reflection. Whether I'm engrossed in a good book, jotting down thoughts in my journal, or simply gazing out of the window, Hiên café offers a haven where I can temporarily detach from the usual anxieties of daily life and soak in the serenity of the moment.
In essence, Hiên café is not merely a place to grab a cup of coffee; it's my go-to destination for rejuvenation. The ambiance, combined with the aromatic coffee and the gentle background music, creates an environment that allows me to unwind, recharge, and regain perspective. In these moments, I feel a profound sense of comfort and balance, making Hiên café an indispensable part of my routine when I crave a moment of calmness and introspection.
The place where I go where I can really relax is the local park.
I am lucky enough to live really close to a nice park – in fact, it’s a great park – and it’s free to get in! It’s got a huge lake and a number of wonderful gardens with trees, plants, flowers, and areas for old and young people to do recreational activities. There is also a café and a restaurant in the park, as well as boats on the lake, tennis courts, and a children’s play area.
I go there almost every weekend, and although it is a really popular park, there are always quiet areas where you can sit alone on a stone bench or at a little table. During the summer months I go there regularly to read and study and just walk around and clear my head. I feel great when I’m there and I enjoy the fact that there is peace and quiet there, as well as activities that people can do. It’s a fantastic environment to be in – and the park is really well-tended and looked after.
It’s an ideal place for individuals like me who want to go alone and get some fresh air and enjoy a natural space, as well as families who want to take their kids out to enjoy the activities available there.
Từ vựng IELTS hữu ích:
In my opinion, the availability of places to relax can vary depending on the region. Urban areas may have more options like parks, cafes, and recreational centers. However, in some rural areas, the choices might be limited. Overall, while there are places, ensuring equal accessibility for everyone could be an area for improvement.
People in my country engage in various activities for relaxation. Common practices include spending time in parks, reading, listening to music, or enjoying outdoor activities. Additionally, many people find relaxation in cultural events, socializing with friends and family, or pursuing hobbies.
Absolutely. Physical activity, such as exercise or outdoor sports, is known to release endorphins, which contribute to a sense of well-being and relaxation. It not only helps in relieving stress but also promotes overall physical health. Many people in my country incorporate physical activities as part of their relaxation routine.
Spending excessive time in front of screens, such as watching TV or using devices, might provide temporary relaxation, but it can lead to eye strain and disrupt sleep patterns. It's important to strike a balance and be mindful of screen time, as prolonged exposure can have negative effects on both physical and mental well-being.
Relaxation doesn't necessarily require a significant financial investment. While some activities may incur costs, many relaxation options are accessible to people with various budgets. Parks, public spaces, and simple leisure activities can be enjoyed without substantial expenses. It's more about finding activities that bring joy and tranquility.
