    1. Do you like to drink coffee or tea?

I prefer having a cup of Americano in the morning, which is strong enough to give me a kick start. As an addict myself, I know a quick fix when I'm tired or not in a good mood, and this is a good cup of Joe.

    • kick start (idiom): khởi đầu nhiều năng lượng - to begin with energy and enthusiasm
    • addict (n.): người nghiện - a person who is addicted to something
    • quick fix (n.): giải pháp tạm thời - a temporary solution to a problem
    • cup of Joe (idiom): cốc cà phê - a cup of coffee (slang)

    2. How often do drink coffee or tea?

Well, I usually have one or two cups every day. A cup of cappuccino is always part of my morning routine, which really works to pick me up. If I feel sleepy or need some energy for work, I also drink coffee in the afternoon.

    • morning routine (n.): thói quen buổi sáng - the things you regularly do in the morning
    • pick me up (phrasal verb): làm tôi tỉnh táo - to make someone feel more awake and alert

    3. Do Vietnamese people like to drink coffee or tea?

As I'm sure you know, traditionally, tea is the number one drink in Vietnam, actually we are quite famous for our tea drinking, so I'd have to say tea rather than coffee, but more recently coffee is becoming increasingly popular especially with young people, overall though it's not quite as popular as tea yet.

    4. Do you prefer to use tea or coffee to serve your guests?

I typically offer my guests a choice between tea and coffee, but this is perhaps because I'm a younger and more international person, let's say. Older people, or more traditional Vietnamese people might just offer a guest tea or juice, as coffee has only really been a popular drink in recent years – perhaps it's now even a bit fashionable. So, generally, I do offer tea or coffee, but most people would offer tea or juice.

    5. Are tea and coffee popular in your country?

Yes, both tea and coffee are extremely popular in Vietnam. We have a rich tea culture, and varieties like green tea and lotus tea are commonly enjoyed. Additionally, Vietnam is known for its robusta coffee, and coffee shops are prevalent in every corner, offering a vibrant coffee culture.

    6. Do people like tea or coffee nowadays?

Absolutely, tea and coffee continue to be well-loved beverages in Vietnam. While traditional tea remains a staple, there's also a growing trend of enjoying specialty teas and innovative coffee blends. Coffee, in particular, has become a social and cultural symbol, with people often gathering at coffee shops to socialize and enjoy different coffee creations.
